This was my first job. I was the credit card collections officer. Calling customers and enquiring about the pending dues and taking payments over the phone electronically was part of my daily routine.
It taught me how to speak to every individual, and connect to them emotionally. Good supportive management. A good work culture. It was difficult to ensure that the set collections target is met consistently every day. The group of people that was along side and the support of the management. There were three different Mananagers. One was a people manager, who would interfere in every matter and provide help and support. The second one would take care of the number for the entire process. The third one would look into the Quality of the numbers met. Their work and support for each other always set an example for us.
