Manager IT (Former Employee) – Kolkata – August 10, 2018
It is one of the best companies one can work for. However, promotion chances are less and the work culture is little slow. The company is great for employee benefits but if you wish growth then its not the right place.
a very good place to learn, experiment and deliver.work life balance is added advantage.
Head, Raw Material Procurement (Former Employee) – Jamshedpur, Jharkhand – July 9, 2018
I was recruited vide campus placement and having joined the company,I opted to stay back, superannuating finally on 1st Jan 2018 after 37 years and 5 months of service. The company has enlightened management practices, provides good learning ambience, gives responsibility and expects delivery from you.A very good city infrastructure(of course, managed by the company) adds to superior work life balance. what finally tilts the scale in company's favour is its ethical practices and the respectful image it carries in society and within business enterprise. i have enjoyed my stint with the company and have no hesitation in recommending others to join it.
city infrastructure, company image, learning opportunities
payouts are not at the best in the country and at times, the place has growth limitations.
Internship (Former Employee) – Jamshedpur, Jharkhand – June 30, 2018
Work culture and Management are one of the best. Every day was most enjoyable. Good environment to learn and work. Work experience heavily relies on the guide.Working hours are from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, 5 days a week which is subjected to change depending on the guide allotted to you. Work is not very hectic and is easily manageable.
Head Human Resources (Former Employee) – Jharkhand – June 12, 2018
One thing that stands out for Tata Steel is its foresightedness. it is a 111 years old Company and has evolved with the times.A typical work day will be very hectic with meetings/ phone calls and meeting employees. Learning is a daily affair. You learn to be a team player and to think up solutions to the problems thrown at you.Management is very supportive and gives you a lot of opportunity for decision making. Tata Steel has a unique culture. You need to get absorbed in it.With rapid automation it has become a system driven Company. The hardest part of your job is that it is never over. With downsizing the pressure on officers is ever increasing. The most enjoyable part is the Rewards and Recognition that makes your day/week/year
