Poor communication, temp job never knew how long you had a job. Micromanage everything. They tried but I think they were overwhelmed with the demand of the contract.

Very disappointing!!!
Certified Nur (Current Employee) –  Terre Haute, INApril 10, 2019
The Signature I worked for SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO CONTINUE TO OPERATE!! The residents are treated horribly and the employees not much better. They are allowing staff to treat the residents horribly and if you talk to management about it then you are the next one out the door. So most employees just pretend not to notice how others are treated. Work load is ridiculous. Always short staffed despite constantly hiring new staff. Management has unrealistic expectations of staff members. You never see management helping out at any time. Seems like alot of employees have sacrificed their principles to keep their jobs there. Some employees are great, others are not. Residents are depressed and unhappy. Never spoke to management until they called me on the phone and said not to come back.

Bad Management
Admissions Clerk (Former Employee) –  Greeneville, TNApril 9, 2019
First day was told how bad the working relationship between admissions and nursing was and to ignore it. Training was next to nothing because the Admissions management would not take the time and then blame you for not knowing what/how to do it. She was always mad or complaining about her management or complaining about how nursing staff was so rude, would come from daily meetings very upset and not professional at all. Would speak loud enough so that residents could hear her unbelievable anger towards management or some other staff member. Hired then let go then hired again promising more hours then not giving them. Honestly was a relief to leave, having to defend yourself at work daily was not a good environment.

Marketing Manager (Former Employee) –  Ft. Wayne, INApril 3, 2019
I was in a marketing role and they tied my hands from an advertising standpoint. They were unwilling to invest in the building and expected to grow the census through social media alone. Minimal job training. Pretty tough to sell a 2 star building (at best) with no investment from the company. The corporate culture is lead by intimidation. My immediate manager was decent but no follow through or assistance. No 401K match. Poor vacation benefits. The stingiest company I have ever worked for with empty promises
Pros
Pay was decent
Cons
Terrible benefit package

Pros
Your patients, a small paycheck.

Biweekly pay, disrespect, unprofessional, low pay, gossip, no support, short staffed.

LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) (Former Employee) –  Terre Haute, INMarch 19, 2019
Horrible place to work but facility now has new management now... maybe a better place to work. I do know that they have difficulty keeping staff because several staff members are reportedly on drugs

LPN Charge Nurse (Former Employee) –  Bremen, INMarch 17, 2019
This is your typical nursing home company. As a nurse you are over worked and under paid. The company gives you the song and dance about the residents and staff are so important. No keeping heads in beds is the goal. They take in younger residents whom many have behaviours that put the elderly residents in danger. The nursing home it's self has changed hands many times. And I am sure it will again. Signature Care needs to stop buying up cheap nursing homes and foucs on the ones they have. And of course who suffers but the residents.
Pros
Lots of hours
Cons
The company

LPN Charge Nurse (Former Employee) –  Coshocton, OHMarch 17, 2019
Nursing had a high turnover but new management may have improved that problem. There was 4 different owners, 4 different CEOs, 3 Directors of Nursing, & many, many nursing staff members.
Management lied about helping on the units when State was in the building, personally heard it !
They do not help on the units even with 4 admits in 1day !
You buy uniforms threw a company who puts signature’s logo on all uniforms so not useable if you leave.
Management has favorites & they’re the ones who stay while the best ones leave. You are reprimanded out on the unit instead of privately.
Family members are treated differently, if mgt doesn’t like a family member they get the snob treatment. Many of the families have multiple complaints.
Pros
Nursing staff gets along for the most part, Teamwork is fairly good depending on the day. You get lied to frequently
Cons
Back stabbing management ( could be gone now), too many favorites
