A good place to start a career
Admin. Associate (Former Employee) –  KeralaJuly 30, 2018
I joined at IIMK as my 2nd institute but when I joined I felt like I could have joined here earlier, so that I could have learned a lot more than I had in real from the earlier employers. Only the working hours, pay structures and job security are the reasons for quitting the job.
Pros
Good atmosphere
Cons
Tight schedules to handle, highly versatile activities and responsibility at low payment

Programme Executive (Current Employee) –  Kolkata, West BengalDecember 20, 2017
As I am an outsourced recruitment here, my only dissatisfaction is about the salary part, other than this one may find a very healthy and cooperative work culture by the management and may also find immense support from seniors colleagues and subordinates

My insights
Summer Internship (Former Employee) –  Calicut, KeralaOctober 16, 2017
Monday-Friday:

Wake up (if you slept) around 8. 30–9 am and get ready for the classes.

Classes from 9.15 am to 3.45pm. Each lecture of duration 1 hour 15 mins and 15 mins break between each lecture. 1 hour lunch break. Everyone has their own openion about classes but I think most of the faculties are amazing and has immense knowledge.

From 3.45 till next day morning: Finish assignments if any, read case studies for tomorrows lecture, complete tasks given by placements and related committess(includes company presentations), work of your committee/interest group(if you are part of any) , prepare for tomorrows quiz if any and if there is some time left, have some sleep! (yes, sleep is a luxury in first term)

Weekend: Placements related tasks(including company presentations) , committee/interest group work(if you are part of any), term projects for different subjects, play some sports(cricket/football/table tennis/ badminton/volley ball/ basket ball), social development project, case studies preparation, work on some competition if interested, visit awesome places nearby to get refreshed(strictly not for first term)

Freedom to work, appreciating innovative ideas and creativity, highly productive approach by academic heads and administration.
Manager, Facilities (Former Employee) –  Ahmedabad, GJDecember 18, 2014
A typical day at work involves interaction with faculty, staff and students inside the organization, and with people external to the organisation like parents, govt. officials and other clients. One should be techno-savvy and the institute gives excellent training to its staff to keep abreast of the latest technological development.

Ideal platform to put into practice transaction analysis and role play-the OB management techniques. The administration and HR are lacking to match with the desired rate of professionalism demanded by a world renowned educational institution. And this is the hardest part of the job. .

The informal culture developed by the founders, n number of platforms to interact with teachers, students, staff, and eminent personalities of national and international arena, the freedom for all to attend seminars, a very rich Library, motivation for the staff to study further and opportunities, though limited, to go up in the ladder are the most enjoyable part of the job. This apart, IIMA is an organization that contributes to social, cultural, health and environmental fields where staff is also given the opportunity to part-take.
Best brainstorming every day.
Pros
Excelllent institution, best brains, high contribution to national and international economy.
Cons
complacency about achievement, average salary and high workload

As Secretary attached to Professors, assisting them in their day-to-day work.
Steno-Secretary (Former Employee) –  Ahmedabad, GJFebruary 5, 2014
As a Secretary, I was required to attend the Professor and assist him in his day-to-day duties, such as taking down dictation, typing, attending phone calls and answering, assisting him in preparing teaching materials for students studying in MBA Course, inter and intra departmental contacts, arranging meetings and travel itinerary etc. There is no much important role with regard to management as the members of staff in my section was only two. I am quite pleasant with the my co-workers. The hardest part of job is meeting with the schedule within the time bound schedule, which I was able to manage. The most enjoyable part is the work side as well as the beautiful surroundings.
Pros
Whatever the Institute used to grant from time to time.
Cons
Tight schedule in meeting with the deadlines with some particular work, though I used to meet with.
