Todays IBM is living in its shadow and if not plugged with stimulus of todays energy, soon it might be over.
I learnt a lot from management and protocol perspective, following the books, having right ethos, but from technical point, IBM is too bureaucratic in nature, too many non technical folks running the show.

In the world of Cloud, you cant have leadership from COBOL and FORTRON's era
Pros
Process is good, Employee friendly, Work Life balance
Cons
Too less salary, Technology wise its too old

IBM is an excellent org. If you want to settle and have work life balance but the opportunity for growth are minimum. Manager plays a key role in your growth and it's imp to keep a clear vision and goal discussed and agreed with your manager. The longer you stay in IBM the more difficult it becomes to get out . Technology exposure is excellent but the treatment inside the team could be biased . Overall it's a good company for slow movers

Good standard company, work safety was good but incentives was low, irregular or very late lunch breaks, for customer service easy to get through interviews, TL and managers are not ready for taking escalation calls
Pros
Yes they would provide free lunches once in 3 months
Cons
they won't allow u to Take ur earrned or even sick leaves, they say 2 weeks off they would give only 1, due to heavy call flow they will ask u to extend but arrange cab very late

Pathetic place to be, you're treated like slaves and cattle, too much micromanagement, no help provided to freshers, seniors don't work - they just butter their seniors, too many "directors" in a team, long useless meetings, sub-standard salaries.
Pros
Job security maybe
Cons
Negative environment, no respect for employees, politics and buttering at its peak.

IBM is a manager centric company, So all life and future depends on relationship with manager. Its a top heavy company and many executives are glorified clerks. Good communication skills are must to survive,

You can do a lot of things if you want to. Look at opportunities internally and keep moving. Best place to learn and use new learning. Compensation could be the only negative that I could think of.

honed my organizational skills in IBM. Worked in many challenging projects and learned to work under pressure. The most enjoyable part was the fun Friday activities organized on the floor.

Just Excellent place to work but you should not expect salary and promotions.
In some Accounts very politics, favoritism and Cast-ism. Specially in WFM Managers prefer their friends and relatives.
Pros
Free to work no tension
Cons
Salary and Promotions are delayed

I have worked in IBM Technologies for 4.5 years before I left the company to pursue for an MBA. I believe it is a better company for mid-career level people. For freshers it doesn't have those dynamic projects that really uplift your IT acumen.
Overall, I have met great people in this company. Workplace culture is great. Mostly casual environment with no such politics as faced in other organizations.

The HR policies are employee friendly. A lot to learn not only related to the domain you work for but also one can get opportunity to learn other business areas with online learning modules. Regular leadership connects, employee engagement programs, etc. help individuals balance their work-life.
