EY is very nice place to work at. However, work life balance is not at all managable. People are friendly and the best part of EY is their trainings and social networking.

Great workplace with exponential learning curve
Consultant (Former Employee) –  Gurgaon , IndiaFebruary 6, 2019
My typical day at work began with today lists. EY has a very organized project management work culture and a detailed emphasis is laid out on engagement activities and timelines. During my tenure, I learned to interact with clients across various industry sectors and understand the fundamental concepts of business and security and how it relates to each other in real time. The management is supportive and is involved to understand your goals on personal as well as professional development. The hardest part of the job was continuous upskilling due dynamics of changing information security and privacy practices, tools and technology. The exceptional EY experience truly lasts a lifetime. The colleagues become like your extended family and friendships that develop here lasts a lifetime.

I work at EY as a tax analyst.
My primary responsibility is to analyse the data provided by the client and decide what type of return is to be prepared and work on the return. I specialize in working on returns of inpatriates and expatriates, involving multiple countries.
Thanks to EY, I learnt US tax from scratch.

Less Salary but immense onsite opportunities.
Data Analyst (Former Employee) –  Kochi, KeralaFebruary 2, 2019
EY GDS is a company where you make money going onsite rather than with your salary. Although there are quite a number of onsites, if you are among the lucky bunch, then you get to go and save some bucks. Otherwise the compensation is quite less. The work is a bit mundane but I made some great friends among my colleagues and hence the work there was fun and engaging.
Pros
Good amount of on-sites
Cons
Less compensation

Highly competitive environment
Associate Vice President (Current Employee) –  New Delhi, IndiaJanuary 27, 2019
EY offers a highly competitive environment with opportunities to explore and learn. Employees are encouraged to bring creativity to the table. Hard work and sincerity is highly appreciated. Quality is of paramount importance to the management. However, work culture and motivation factor varies from team to team as it is a partnership firm. Pay scale is not the best but better than many other firms. Visibility may become concern sometimes when working in a large team. Horizontal movements are not so easy.
Pros
Competitive culture, Growth opportunity, Decent pay scale
Cons
Work life balance, Not much scope for intra service line or regional movements
