Show some respect to your employees
Adminstrative Assistant (Former Employee) –  Salt Lake City, UTAugust 30, 2019
Everyone hates the CEO. She thinks that she is right all the time and don't accept opinions coming from other people. When she is angry, she shouts and humiliates people in front of everyone else. And the worst thing that she does is to fire employees without a good reason. The management doesn't have the courage to speak up and they follow her blindly for whatever she wants them to do.

Do not work with them
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) –  Salt Lake City, UTJuly 26, 2019
Working here was hard because of the micromanagement that employees were subjected to. The management was not supportive of its employees. There was never any work-life balance and the work culture needed to be changed.
Pros
Talented coworkers.

Not convenient
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) –  Salt Lake City, UTMay 15, 2019
You are micromanaged which lowers the productivity of the employees. Employees are overworked; you are required to work at nights and even on weekends. As an employee you are not given any considerations and you can be laid off any time.
Pros
The coworkers are great people to work with.

High pressure, lack of trust, poorly managed from the top
Inside Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Salt Lake City, UTOctober 12, 2017
In the short time I was there, I felt that newcomers are not trusted and given very little directions and resources, management was very disorganized and reactionary. Products are very inconsistent, most product lines are cheap-looking and stagnant style while a few other are cutting-edge technology. It looks like they were not meant to work together making it difficult for systems integrators to use them in projects. Most products have the same look and features of 10 year ago. Company relies more on legal compensations than product sales and market expansion. This discourages investments on more effective administration tools and product innovation. Company is run entirely by a single person who does not seem to understand the AV market.
Pros
Great pay and compensation
Cons
No support from management to succeed long term

It started out really good
Telecommunication Technician/Network Administrator (Former Employee) –  Salt Lake City, UTJuly 31, 2017
It started out as a great place to work, after the company had some issues with the government it went down hill. They had to sell off parts of the company to play the bills and they brought in people that didn't understand what they were doing and wanted to bring in yes men.

Work was stolen
Desktop support Technician (Former Employee) –  UtahMay 19, 2017
Work ideas, and credit was stolen by co-worker. Management didn't care much about you. If you did one tiny thing negative it could erase months and months of positive.

Management of indebtedness
UC Regional Sales Manager (Former Employee) –  westApril 2, 2015
to be fair, it was just a bad fit. it was like walking into the 1980s. Very old school.

* No CRM. Our weekly reports were done in Word and Excel. No dashboards of any kind. They use recycled Blackberry.
* Work-life balance did not exist. a culture of indebtedness. .
* Compensation benefits were all negotiated in secret. With a team of 15, everyone walked around in secret.
* Management- Management by insult.
* Job Culture- manage by intimidation. it has a way of de-masculating you. When one departs, there's a breath of fresh air as a world of courtesy is out there. One get amazed, how much of their identity they had to give up just to work there.

Niche Player in a Very Large Market
System Architect (Former Employee) –  Salt Lake City, UtahOctober 19, 2013
ClearOne possesses core intellectual property in echo cancellation which puts it at the head of the pack in terms of clarity of voice in VOIP desktop telephony. At the same time, their market share is very small - under 10% - compared to their largest and most successful competitor. The company is small was outsourcing overseas (India) a significant portion of their hardware and software engineering during the course my my employment.
Pros
Small work environment
Cons
High employee turnover
