work activities will include: Responsible for the daily operation of company competitor watch program; Searching patentability of invention disclosures and freedom to operate; State of the art searches; Discussing inventions and processes with inventors and ascertaining whether they are likely to succeed in being granted patents; Draft and prosecute Indian patent applications ; Ensuring application and renewal deadlines are observed;
Advising R&D personnel regarding various IP issues;
Assisting in p olicing company's IP to guard against potential infringements.
Training and educating company employees on intellectual property issues;
Additional responsibilities could include support for infringement analysis, litigation and other projects. However, patent searches and patent application preparation and prosecution will be the primary focus of this position, and the successful candidate must have a perennial interest in this type of work.
Detailed Description
Job Requirements An engineering degree with an interest in industrial equipment Registered Indian Patent Agent. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Candidate must be motivated and well organized. 5+ years experience as an Indian Patent Agent Knowledgeable of Indian Patent Office rules and procedures.
