This position is for Eaton Fluid Power Ltd. (Hydraulics Division)to be based at the Plant in Pimpri, Pune.
The Incumbent would be responsible for managing the manufacturing / Production operations to maximize customer satisfaction by producing quality products, on a timely basis and at the right cost. The position will also be responsible for achieving all aspects of the operational goals, while building a strong culture of Eaton Business Systems.
Key Functions :
A. To Manage the manufacturing operations effectively and efficiently to manufacture quality products in a timely manner at the right cost. Responsibility includes production planning, scheduling, manpower planning and allocation, and managing to meet production plan.
b. Drive a culture of safety in the organization by leading safety programs and driving strict adherence to safety rules and regulations. Lead the implementation of Eaton Safety Processes in your area of responsibility.
c. Drive strong discipline in the shop floor in day-to-day operations, quality systems, and standardized processes.
d. Establish goals for manufacturing in alignment with the Plant Manager’s goals and those of the organization. Drive the goals down in the organization.
e. Lead the implementation of ELS in the shop floor. Run manufacturing with well deployment lean principles.
f. Manage employees to drive a performance culture. This includes performance management and
rewards/recognition.
g. Lead and/or participate in problem solving activities as needed. Leadership role in manufacturing related
problem solving by bringing in resources from Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, SCM and others as needed.
h. Implementation and adherence to the Eaton Business System.
i. Drive compliance to the Eaton Code of Ethics and hold others accountable for ethical conduct.
j. Attract, select, develop, train, coach, appraise and motivate cell leaders, engineers and other personnel for key line and staff positions in the facility.
k. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and governance. Ensure compliance to Eaton policies such as Equal Employment Opportunity, Harassment, Safety, and Substance Abuse. Support and strengthen key communities.
l. Direct programs required to ensure that plant and equipment are properly maintained and that adequate and trained personnel are available to carry out all phases of plant operations.
m. Develop and maintain a high performance culture focused on continuous improvement and change.
The incumbent is expected to implement and follow Eaton process leading to Operational Excellence: Safety, Quality, Productivity, Eaton Lean Six Sigma, Eaton Safety Practices, Eaton Quality Systems, Production to Plan, Cost out.
Organizational Capacity & Culture: Employee Engagement, APEX (Appraisal Process), Eaton Philosophy Work Pratices Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Industrial Management. Masters Degree preferred.
8-10 years experience in manufacturing industry and management roles.Hands on Shop floor management experience is required.
Communicates effectively with all management and production personnel, and can quickly and effectively build relationships at all levels.
