Although the candidate is expected to possess a high degree of self-confidence and "polish", he or she must be able to relate extremely well to management across the units in India to gain their trust and to help them grow their businesses. This person will be expected to evaluate the current team, identify gaps in the talent pool and to recruit best in class legal team for the region. He/she will actively mentor the team, engage the team to develop plans and resolve issues through collaborative problem solving. He/she creates a clear sense of team identity and holds teams accountable for meeting collective goals. The candidate should demonstrate a good track record of commanding respect as he/she would play a significant role in supporting the business; therefore, it is important for him/her to have a commercial approach and appreciation of business related issues. It is desirable for the candidate to have high level of integrity and core "value systems". Team oriented, collaborative and sensitive to other's suggestions - the individual should not be individualistic in his/her working.
