ROLE BRIEF
- Honeywell Technology Solutions work in wide varieties of Research and Technology The Candidate will be required to drive. The candidate will possess a proven track record of achievement in the field of law. The candidate must be conversant with leading-edge legal techniques and be able to provide the company with added value in this regard. He/she will possess a working knowledge of all areas of corporate law such as complex commercial contracts, products liability, intellectual property, labour and employment law, real estate law, environmental law, and M&A (JV and strategic alliances) transactions and also compliance. The candidate should have experience in a cross regional legal issues and regimes and comfortable with advising on a work environment characterized by a proactive approach to legal issues, with a strategic leadership style. The Candidate should have a strong track record of getting a variety of transactions done in the face of complexities and challenges. He/she will demonstrate the ability to structure and lead complex deals and negotiations with tenacity, decisiveness, and diplomacy. The candidate should be energized by new challenges and creating better way of doing .
Collaboration and Influencing. The candidate should be capable of building credibility for the buthings, so that higher levels of performance are possible. He/she will introduce incremental improvements to enhance business performance, using analysis and benchmarking. This person will set new and stretched goals for self and the team and will have delivered performance that stands out in the market in a high growth environmentsinesses - promoting HTS India's interest both within the company and externally. He/she should be able to liaise closely with the senior management at Honeywell. The candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to contribute significantly in the formulation of a value proposition for the legal department in India as it aligns with the Honeywell Inc. market, product and services strategy. This position requires an entrepreneurial, business-minded, culturally adept practitioner. The candidate must demonstrate broad business judgment, an external focus to anticipate pressures and challenges and a willingness to dive into the details of operating, legal, financial, or other issues. This will require a proactive and solutions-oriented approach that prevents problems from occurring and identifies and takes advantage of opportunities to improve business and legal performance. The candidate must possess a great deal of maturity and tact to work effectively with senior business managers. Although the candidate is expected to possess a high degree of self-confidence and "polish", he or she must be able to relate extremely well to management across the units in India to gain their trust and to help them grow their businesses. This person will be expected to evaluate the current team, identify gaps in the talent pool and to recruit best in class legal team for the region. He/she will actively mentor the team, engage the team to develop plans and resolve issues through collaborative problem solving. He/she creates a clear sense of team identity and holds teams accountable for meeting collective goals. The candidate should demonstrate a good track record of commanding respect as he/she would play a significant role in supporting the business; therefore, it is important for him/her to have a commercial approach and appreciation of business related issues. It is desirable for the candidate to have high level of integrity and core "value systems". Team oriented, collaborative and sensitive to other's suggestions - the individual should not be individualistic in his/her working. Over time, the individual should be able to develop teams, mentor relationships, a strategic perspective, strong communication, ability to think outside the box; desire to be innovative, intercultural skills, ability to manage change.
SKILL / EXPERIENCE
- The Candidate must be LAW graduate from reputed university/Institute with 5-10 years of top level IP transactional and commercial experience in a major law firm and a reputed company.
- Possess a keen interest in technology areas other than the one area they may have specialized in - given our broad technology categories, the ideal candidate will possess working knowledge or at least have the capacity to tap into a network of specialists across a broad technology category. Patent knowledge would be a plus but is not necessary.
- Possess excellent drafting skills and be adept at providing legal solutions. He/she should have good interpersonal and communication skills and be a committed team player. Experience of having managed professional and administrative staff will be advantageous.
