Provide troubleshooting support to maintain all network systems and monitor them proactively to ensure that production downtime is minimised
Evaluate new and emerging technologies and suggest ways to add value to the existing infrastructure
To ensure an effective communication process is in place with all the stakeholders including Vendors, server, voice and desktop support teams
Strong knowledge of Cisco ASA Firewalls and all Networking Systems such as for installing, Load balancers, Cisco Routers, Switches and Nortel MSS 7400, maintaining and troubleshooting
Thorough understanding of networking concepts such as IPLCs, Leased Lines, ATM, MPLS, TI/T3/ E1, VPN tunnels etc.
In depth knowledge of configuration of WAN links, VLANs, VPN Tunnels and protocols such as TCP/IP, SNMP, OSPF, BGP, RIP etc.
Good command in implementation and troubleshooting of over WAN protocols such as BGP, OSPF, RIP etc. and security mechanisms such as IPSec / AES / 3DES / SSL
Effective communication skills and good documentation skills to produce network related documentation
The position requires good organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to troubleshoot and logically solve problemsStrong understanding of network security compulsions from the desktop level to the network gateway and perimeter level.
