Purpose of the Job:
The Senior QA Engineer will own the complete testing of a module of Application primarily into payment domain. He\She will write test plans and test cases. Will mentor a small team of (up-to) four members in writing and execution of test cases. Will also take care of the set up and maintaining the test environment and communication with Dev team and client.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Write Test scenarios and Test Cases for manual testing of the application
Functional and Integration testing of application
Recording and tracking defects through defect reporting tool
Daily status reporting to PL
Write traceability matrix to reflect test coverage
Work in onsite/offshore development model

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
3-5 years of experience in Software Testing
Should be able to understand requirements and write test plans and test cases
Setting up the test environments
Manual testing experience, an understanding of Best Practices and principals of testing
Should be able to write test cases for complex scenarios involving end to end testing
Solid knowledge of database concepts and SQL queries
Experience in testing Web-based applications
Experience in testing of back ends, xml and file systems
Knowledge of LINUX commands

Education & Certification:
BTech/MCA from reputed institutes.
ISTQB, CSTE certification preferred.

Strong Problem solving and analytical skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good team player
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
