Responsibilities: Testing & Quality Responsibilities:
Develops and executes software test plans using both automated and manual testing to ensure products meet design specifications and are within the specified quality standards
Performs all quality assurance activities defined by the Kronos software development process
Develops design specifications and test cases for product features
Participates in the creation of the overall test automation strategy
Works on problems of complex scope, through extensive usage of non-standard / relatively complex concepts and principles
Modifies and extends the test automation framework
Participates in code / design reviews
Uses formal software QA methodologies and standard software development practices to develop test suites and build test environments including test databases
Seeks to optimally reuse design and test scenarios
Organizational Responsibilities:
Participates in process improvements initiatives
Team / Project Responsibilities:
Partners with developers for detailed technical story definition, implementation and test development & story acceptance
Estimates required timeframe and deadlines for accomplishing tasks in the project Consults with development engineers and participates in resolution of problems
Leverages previous experience to provide inputs to developers on resolving coding related issues identified during testing
Guides, mentors & leads the junior members in the team from a technical perspective
Qualifications:
Graduate degree in Computer Sc./ Engineering from top colleges of state universities and other good engineering institutes with 60% throughout academics.
Degrees attained B.Tech/B.E./MCA/M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc./M.S. in Computer Science / IT and related field.
5 – 8 yrs IT industry experience working with product companies and top tier service level organization.
3+ years experience in software quality assurance 2yrs of automation testing experience with hands on exposure to any automation tool
Process-oriented with high attention to detail and good follow-through
Excellent problem solving and decision making abilities Experience testing using various Windows environments
