The Dynamics CRM team defines the strategy and delivers the end2end platform and application for Customer Care that transcends multiple channels (social, email, etc.,) across all popular browsers and device form-factors via on-prem and cloud offerings.
Lync unified communications team is responsible for defining next generation real-time communication and collaboration experiences delivered as Lync Web App, Lync Web SDK, Lync for Windows Phone, and Lync for Nokia.
The Office Mobile team has the charter for Office productivity applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint Client and OneNote) across Windows Phone, Android and iOS platforms.
The Sharepoint Developer Experience team is responsible for the developer platform for SharePoint. The key areas of ownerships are: BCS - Business Connectivity Services, Duet for intergration with SAP, support for Mobile SharePoint applications and Developer and Application Infrastructure.
We are looking for a Principal Test Manager to become part of our MBD-IDC Test Leadership, strengthen the test discipline and increase the impact MBD-IDC makes to Microsoft’s products and services suite.
The ideal candidate is a quality-driven engineering leader, will have experience with shipping large scale enterprise products and services. This person must have experience managing a high performance test team, driving projects, has deep technical expertise in automation and implementation of solid testing practices. A critical success factor for this job is that you should have passion for managing, developing and mentoring individuals, growing strong leads, and the ability to recruit top technical talent. This person must be able to manage multiple products, have a proven record of cross-group collaboration, and passion for testing and improving test process. You should be a customer advocate with a solid interest in improving the ways that our customers run their business.
At least 10 years of experience shipping high-quality software products and services
At least 5 years of people management with a proven track record of building and growing strong teams
Great leadership skills to work effectively with the LT and peers within and across organizations
Successful delivery of multiple releases of complex, high-quality products
Strong ability to manage and execute on multiple project timelines and priorities
Strong understanding of engineering and testing functions, experience in testing large-scale enterprise products
Strong customer focus and passion for doing what’s right for the customer
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills
Strong technical skills with computer science background, BSCS or equivalent discipline required
