The Lync client organization (formerly Office Communicator) recently delivered Lync 2010 client that seamlessly integrates instant-messaging, voice, video, IP telephony, conferencing, and application sharing. Emerging influence of social networks and newer generation of information workers are all set to be the catalyst to change the communication and collaboration landscape. We want to blaze the trail and provide next generation communication experience where we can put the people in control of their communication and provide an experience that feels natural to their everyday workflow. The Lync team is looking for a self-motivated and highly passionate SDET to contribute delivering the next version of Lync Client on Android Phone. We need exceptional people to deliver this software magic. As an SDET your focus will be to build a test strategy that tackles the above, including substantial involvement in product design, close interaction with PM and developers, and of course, developing new mobile experiences. Also this role will involve streamlining and preparing the base for the product by choosing the right set of technologies and architecture so that it can scale to an expanding business. We’re looking for a talented Software Design Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team. SDETs on our team:
- Design and build test automation, tools, and libraries to help us test more efficiently
- Design and implement testing strategies for the features they own
- Work closely with developers and program managers to ensure the high quality of features that ship on Android phone throughout the globe
- Are passionate about building a high quality product that delivers great experiences to our customers
- Are passionate about developing better and smarter ways to test
Competencies & qualifications required:
An engineering degree Computer Science or equivalent with 3+ years of technical experience is required
Strong C/C++, C# coding skills Designing, implementing, debugging, and maintaining automation
Excellent debugging and problem solving skills Strong verbal and written communications and cross group collaboration skills
