Role:
Performance Materials and Technologies business in India is approximately a $ 250 Million business in India with a little over 400 employees in India. The business has recently invested to the tune of $ 35 Million in setting up a Technology Center. The incumbent is expected to provide HR leadership for the Performance Materials and Technologies business in India. UOP India also boasts of largest offshore Engineering center with growing capability to handle global projects independently and a Project execution team for PSA and Merox technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the HR partner of respective Business leaders and leadership team to build an innovative, performance-driven, dynamic and high-impact organization
- Act as the Coach & Confidante of PMT business leaders in India.
- Develop robust relationships with stakeholders, SBU business Leaders, India & US based HR teams and internal business stakeholders to influence, challenge and support business strategies and practices
- Work closely with India Country HR Leader to align the PMT HR and India One country HR strategies in PMT business,
- Leverage Corporate HR CoE resources to ensure effective function support to the business and strong alignment with overall Honeywell HR strategies and policies
- Review and develop the HR organization, process, system and infrastructure to ensure operational excellence in HR processes and maintain a robust HR governance framework
- Develop and coach direct reports to build organizational capabilities and support individual development;
- Analyze and identify people requirements within a given business area, and cooperate with business leaders on the design, development and implementation of appropriate solutions
- Develop, promote and monitor the implementation of HR policies and practices that will enable the business to attract, retain and motivate talent at all levels and comply with relevant employment laws and regulations
- Drive the organizational development agenda, through delivery of comprehensive learning & development programs at all levels with effective partnering with OD&L CoE
- Work with C&B COE to keep track of market trends of compensation and build effective retention strategies
- Build High Performance Culture by driving performance differentiation, implementing pay for performance programs and managing poor performers.
- Ensure the production of timely, accurate and up-to-date HR management information and statistics as required by the management
- Implement systematic internal communication programs to encourage open, transparent communication and improve employee engagement, including staff town halls, executive messages, internal newsletter, business participation in Corporate internal communication activities
- Develop and coordinate issue and crisis management process for businesses based on standard Honeywell protocols
- Post graduate qualifications in Human Resource are a must.
- A minimum of 12 - 15 years of experience in HR related areas, experience in MNC R&D organization preferred
- Experience of successfully managing Industrial Relations at shop-floor will be a definite plus
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in people management and leadership role
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of good practice in HR / IR management, particularly with respect to: Talent acquisition; Compensation and reward; Learning and talent management; Employee Relations; Organizational planning and change
- Successful track record of initiating People strategies to support business growth and change
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, understanding of business and execution excellence
- Strong capability in managing dynamic and matrix relations with different stakeholders
- Excellent influencing, communication and presentation skills
- Leadership building/management (at all levels), strong business connectivity and influencing skills working with senior leaders and partnering with Honeywell HR consul, lead employee consultation and communication effectively
- Driving performance, ability to challenge status quo, and constructively challenge senior leadership to adopt the best approach to people and organizational challenge
- Motivational leadership skills in managing performance, coaching, motivating and developing team members
