There have been very few scientist job layoffs since I've worked at this company, especially compared to peers. There is a very good work/life balance however there is little support if you chose to work and go to school.

Novartis is a great company. Excellent compensation and benefits, and a culture that makes you want to work hard and contribute every day. I worked there from 1999 to 2004 as a Sr. Scientist in Johns Creek, Georgia until the site was shut down and we were nearly all laid off. Upper management failed to come up with a successful new product, which ended my tenure there, but I will remember my 4.5 years there fondly. Being sued for a reason, but compensates employees well, and decent benefits.

Marketing was a fun department to work in. We were a great team, It was a real nice place to work.

A fantastic ground to call on a multitude of specialist because of the broad spectrum of products. Never a dull day. Always a continuum of objectives for each and every call. I worked for the hardest manager of my life and he instilled the basis of my success to this day.
