Assistant Manager (Former Employee), GurgaonOctober 22, 2013
If there is one company that a mechanical engineer wants to join its Maruti Suzuki. The company offers a varied types of roles to place an individual. However the most interesting is the R&D division as the company is laying huge emphasis on New Vehicle Development. Besides the company offers the opportunity to attain international experience in Suzuki – more... Motors Company, Japan. – less

Deputy manager (Current Employee), GurgaonJuly 15, 2012
Pros: knowledge base and co-workers
Cons: long hour job (six days a week) with no overtime
A place where you interact with intellectual co-workers, helping others in overcoming the daily hiccups.
Management of the organisation is sophisticated but it is sometimes difficult to communicate with seniors regarding the HR polices and future road map.

Workplace was good but not much importance was given to fun
Senior Sales Executive (Former Employee), Hyderabad, APMarch 15, 2014
It was great to work with Maruti Suzuki India Limited as it is the unmatched Leader of the Indian automotive industry. At sales i learned a new thing everyday the mindset of customers change's according to the market though Maruti has a respect for itself. Once a customer wanted a hatchback model of ours next day i went to his place and gave the test – more... drive and took the booking but the customer did not turn up for two months and suddenly one day he came and asked me to deliver the vehicle right then,But the color was not available i was trying to explain him as he did not make any move and came suddenly but he was not interested he wanted his car i took time explained him and pushed a sedan model of the same car with his desired color first he did not show his interest later he understood and took the delivery of sedan the same day. I was appreciated for the sale. – less

Deputy Manager (Current Employee), GurgaonFebruary 18, 2013
Pros: exposure to know-how of both technical and commercial information
Cons: long working hours
Daily job involves negotiation with suppliers, costing (target costing, zero base costing and comparative analysis with competitor models through teardown analysis).
Have learned about the role of win-win situation in every aspect of successful business scenario.
Management provides big picture about the targets and co-workers compliments each other – more... at every stage.
No. of negotiations, parts involved, being techno-commercial engineer
creates lot of critical decision making and responsibilities.
At the same, provided a sense of pride and satisfaction att he final execution of the task. – less

Workplace with a very encouraging working environment providing a good learning experience
Deputy Manager-Machine Engineering Department (Former Employee), Gurgaon, Haryana, IndiaMarch 14, 2012
Pros: encouraging work environment, subsidies lunches, uniform
Cons: overtime working hours are long and unpaid
The company provides a really good training program for 6 months wherein rotational training and projects help in understanding the departments and the type of work they offer. Departments are assigned based on your preferences. Overall organisational structure is well defined leading to good role clarity.
The work in the project installation departments – more... depends on the market demand of new or existing products or need to upgrade the production facilities.
Growth is dependent on the performance and space available in the organisational pyramid. The career growth path is slow and the benefits provide are not very lucrative. However, the company growth is stable and may be beneficial for long term. – less
