Overall a good company to work for. New Technology is quite excting.
Process Integration Staff Engineer (Former Employee), Portland, OR, USA – April 27, 2012
My biggest learning out of this company was I acquired and discovered my strengths: I'm very data driven, disciplined and results oriented. Two of these are Intel Values. Management is mostly technical and reviews are performance based.

Intel is shipping many jobs overseas so job security is poor, and long hours are demanded in the IT department
Product Manager of Web Services Security (Former Employee), Folsom, CA – May 21, 2013
Normal hours are 12 hrs to 18 hrs depending on your position. Cutbacks and sending jobs overseas has required everyone to take on more responsibility.

Intel was a stressful place to work
Engineering Intern (Former Employee), Santa Clara, CA – May 10, 2013
Pros: decent pay, good work atmosphere, good boss.
Cons: stressful place to work; only worked there for 8 months.
On a typical day, I would check in at 8-9 am, and work in the cubicle or lab doing excel spreadsheet calculations and ms powerpoint presentations.

My coworkers were also very busy during the day, and we had little time to bond on a closer level.

The hardest part of my job was maintaining the requirement to produce quality engineering work since I – more... was very tired all of the time. – less

Practical Guy Among Geeks
Training manager - Retail Market (Former Employee), Detroit, MI – May 10, 2013
Pros: presentations are fun to give, great culture
Cons: back to contracts again and companies cutting cost...programs end
Intel tends to be a world for techno-Geeks. I enjoyed the Geeks side of life but I was hired on to give the technology leads to features of a product leads to benefits of a product leads to presentation of benefits leads to sales. I was the trainer in this chain of events and I loved watching the 'light go on'.

Great Place to Work
Graduate Technical Intern (Former Employee), Folsom, CA – May 9, 2013
Pros: ambitious, hard working, continuous learner, team player
Cons: short breaks
It had been great working with Intel. I took the work assigned to me as challenge and learnt each and everything. I enjoyed the work assigned and used to finish the task within time.. In addition to new software tools I have learnt IA 32 architecture.Apart from technical knowledge, I learnt working in a team. It was enriching experience to work on real – more... project which goes live. Intel offered courses related to values and ethics, and I was certified for all those. I was involved for internal intern events such as career fairs which was a good experience. – less
