Distribution Center Manager (Former Employee), Nashville, TN – March 6, 2013
Pros: my subordinates.
Cons: hostile takeover.
I worked hard everyday in a warehouse. I had 10 subordinates who still contact me today. Management at the end was hostile. Investors took over and I was released. I loved my job there becasue it was easy for me managing people and the work flow. My hardest part to manage was the daily reporting on excel. I worked with our warehouse staff closely to – more... ensure quality and service. – less

Cons: lack of communication, lack of manigment
i drive a truck for FSI. I have learned how to follow a route sheet and drive a trash truck safely. The management is few and far between they lack in communication and good direction. The hardest part of the job is the lack of training with high expectations.

Busy but fun workplace
Project Manager (Current Employee), London – July 10, 2012
Pros: great cause, competitive salary, good team
Cons: little scope for career advancement
An enjoyable place to work with an eclectic workload. Due to the small team but the demanding workload within the charity I have been given the opportunity to see how most sides of the organisation work.

A typical day at work consists in working on the key projects that our beneficiaries use to fundraise, so administering and trouble shooting them – more... and ensuring timelines and budget are stuck to. I will also help with office management and general administrative tasks as well as deal with any incoming queries from our beneficiaries and partners.

The hardest part of the job is ensuring all projects are completed to the best of our abilities as we are a very small team working with a very tight budget to even tighter deadlines.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the completion of a successful project and the sense of achievement that is felt amongst the whole team. – less

Very long hours, unorganized management as the business is always changing, so-so atmosphere, positive note: staying very busy with no down time
Billing Specialist (Former Employee), Nashville, TN – June 19, 2012
Pros: management that does have understanding to individuals' personal needs
Cons: no room for growth within the company, supervisors lack of understanding time expectations for duties/responsibilities
The days were extremely long (7:00am-6:00pm and sometimes longer w/ 1/2hr lunch typically, ). I learned to operate on a very old computer system/program and also learned different billing methods as the company caters to all different customers' invoicing needs. There is a lack of supervisors support in the accounting department and was not very helpful – more... with questions, but most co-workers were easy to get along with. Working with a very archaic computer system made the job very difficult and had to have constant (many times per day) tech support from the system/program owner in Maryland. Trying to fit in huge customer billings that took most of the day (sometimes all day and/or into the next day) with trying to get the full days normal responsibilities completed as well made for the long hours and made any home life non-existent. I tried to make the most of each day by always challenging myself to see how fast I could operate and complete the daily tasks to make the day more enjoyable. Enjoyable to me is multi-tasking and troubleshooting and this position called for much of that.

All comments pertain to the accounting department and there may be other departments that don't deal with the same types of issues and may operate a bit more efficiently. – less
