NETWORK SPECIALIST (Former Employee), Vernon, CA – April 18, 2013
Due to several large mergers and purchases in a short time management struggled to make items seamless. They held up great just to much to fast. They have overcome the issues and are now rock solid and I am honored to have worked for them

Could be a great career, but watch your backside...
Application Engineer (Former Employee), Irving, TX – February 21, 2013
Pros: they value, encourage, and pay for training.

High expectations and a very large work load...
and sometimes reality does not matter....

Exciting place to learn about Metal Castings & valve production.
QA Engineer (Former Employee), Raleigh, NC – November 27, 2012
Pros: annual bonus, paid vacation, annual increases, and medical benefits.
Cons: limited career growth opportunities.
Provide QA department oversight of software implementation. Coordinate task for software solution implementation to manage and archive material test reports of metal chemical composite. Resolve project issues as business liaison for project.

I learned about regulatory requirements for the metal manufacturing industry.

In a manufacturing facility it – more... is imperative that production remain a driving focus at the site.

Implementing change in an industry slightly impacted by information technology for as much as 40 years.

Providing new technology processes that both improve production and increase quality in manufacturing nuclear valves. – less

Flowserve Supply Chain
Buyer (Current Employee), Taneytown, MD – November 21, 2012
Cons: no flextime
Great company, but you must work hard to "move up".
Highly engineered---There's no repetitive product, so, it makes work interesting and challenged.

Safety focused, quality manufacturing company
Employee (Current Employee), Irving, TX – November 11, 2012
Pros: travel, opportunities to see a lot of different operations
Cons: expectations of long hours
Flowserve is an extremely safety focused, respectful organization. Overall, it's an excellent experience, with opportunities to see many different operations, different types of work, and work in a global environment. Management does seem too focused on the bottom line, to the detriment of employee compensation and overall investment in the company. – more... Expect dated facilities with not much in the way of amenities. – less

Enjoyed working with great people
IT INTERN (Former Employee), Irving, TX – October 3, 2012
I did my Summer Internship at Flowserve Corporation. It was my pleasure working with experienced people around teaching me new lessons everyday. I learned to build new solutions to the given problems by keeping its long term future application in mind. I felt free to contact management anytime I wanted and there was no hesitation. The hardest part of – more... job was to keep in pace with work as the job was for 3 months and I had a lot to cover. – less

Flowserve was described commonly as a "work camp" by my IT peers before working there. Flowserve has lived up to that title/
IT Manager (Current Employee), Dallas, TX – September 24, 2012
Pros: bonus
Cons: if your ok with consigning yourself to a concentration (i mean work) camp, then by all means come to flowserve. otherwise, look elsewhere to find a fulfilling career.
Flowserve has one of the most acidic and controlling work environments that I've yet experienced in my IT career. Even after a long military career, I have never seen anything quite like Flowserve when it comes to rigid and threatening work environments. The IT leadership is mostly composed of non technical people that have a genuine dislike of those – more... that understand technical complexity.

I have never before seen an IT college intern on their first job have their future dreams and confidence completely destroyed by an IT leader until experiencing Flowserve.

If you are looking for your first IT work experience out of college, I strongly suggest that your consider other options before coming to Flowserve. – less

People always looking for errors to tell supervisors about
Wax Presser (Former Employee), Dayton, Ohio – July 16, 2012
Pros: appreciated your input and hard work
Cons: too many old timers not doing what the company wanted, wouldn't spend the money for machine repairs, much equipment was dangerous.
Sabotage of work to be able to get something to report about. Many were 30 to 40 years veterans and refused to do what company owners wanted do. They were smarter than the execs. Wouldn't teach you as that was their idea of job security.

Productive work place very nice and neat.
Mail Clerk (Former Employee), Irving Texas – June 1, 2012
Pros: free lunches sometimes.
Cons: management
Other than Management for me it is a great place to work. A typical day was alway very productive there's always something to do. My co-workers were very friendly, the hardest part of the job was leaving, because of poor management and grading of my yearly pmp. Most enjoyable of my job was serving others at a high levle.
