Also hosted various events for our clients at the Offshore Drilling Conference held once a year in Houston. Got a lot experience in this position and was my favorite job because it was a personal fulfillment. The company moved back to Ohio and I was fortunate enough to be one of the 4 people to close the office down. They kept me to the end. – less

MASTER TECHNICIAN ENGINEER (Former Employee), Diamond Bar, CA – April 18, 2012
Pros: benefits, training, travel
Cons: no company events, no family feeling
At the start of the of the job, the co-workers wanted to help with training and taking you on jobs to expand your skill. When the company started to struggle financially as with the rest of the nation, the new guys were left out of the field work and was stuck to the office. The company had jobs all over California and traveling to the jobs was something – more... I enjoyed because I was stuck at one job site. – less

Pros: feed us a lot, benefits, we get a lot of t-shirts, coats, etc.
Cons: short breaks, back stabbing coaches, no time for your family
Eaton is a good place to work they reward us a lot, i have learned different jobs and don't work on the same job everyday so we dont get bored. Some of the management is alright, but some lie and break policy which i don't agree with, they work a lot of overtime which i like but everybody needs time to spend with your family and you don't get hardly – more... any of that. The best thing about my job is some of the people i work with they make the day go by faster. – less
Assembly line (Former Employee), Greenwood, SC – April 7, 2012
The management team at this company was the worst, they didn't care how bad the day was or how anything or anybody was doing, all that matter to them was can you work or can you stay over and cover this job, i didn't care about doing the job, i just wish that they showed more concern for the people who was working for them...
Assembler (Former Employee), Eden Prairie, MN – April 7, 2012
Ive learned how patience works. Having to repeat a process over and over. Ive also learned alot about following a job traveler on how to do things or build things according to what is posted on paper.
Clerical Intern (Former Employee), Cleveland, OH – April 6, 2012
During a typical day at work I would sign-in and then head to my desk where I would organize microsoft excel spreadsheets. I also organized a large number of sales reciepts for industrial parts. I learned alot about how and why the government is outsourcing jobs thanks to one of my coworkers. I also learned about how to use microsoft excel and how to – more... keep an organized work environment. Managment was very nice and cared a great deal for thier employees. The hardest part of working at the Eaton Corporation was organizing the thousands of reciepts they had accumulated. The most enjoyable part of the job was working on the computer. – less

Forecast Analyst (Former Employee), Jackson, MS – April 2, 2012
Pros: paid time off
Cons: very fraternistic
I thought the facility I worked at should have had more proceedural disciplines in the overall workforce. Too get promoted you really had to brown nose. Very cliquish. Every thing was geared toward end of the month bottom line. Management was always very negative toward plant productivity (read pathetic raises unless you were the chosen). However bonuses – more... were lavished upon upper mgt (not a secret) – less
Crew member (Former Employee), Sanford, NC – March 29, 2012
Pros: good benifits
Cons: the machines would break. we could not make quota, would have to work six to seven days a week, it just wore me out.
Eaton Corporation was an assembly line type of job, except that we not only made the parts we tested them to make sure they functioned properly. Teams were six to ten people depending on the part being made. We all changed jobs every hour so no one got to bored doing the same job all the time.
