Solid company undergoing change
Vice President (Current Employee), New York –
Pros: promotes internal mobility
Cons: management changes
With all the financial companies the changing winds of regulation and the financial industry are forcing change on everyone. Trying to retain the environment that used to exist prior to 2008 in the current atmosphere is the biggest issue that not only Credit Suisse, but all financials are having to deal with.

A good experience, but trouble ahead
Product Control (Current Employee), Raleigh, NC –
Pros: great people, good culture
Cons: recent management changes are

The company culture strongly encourages mobility within the bank, and is open to moving interested employees both within their department as well as across departments or globally. The compensation is mediocre when compared to – more...  the industry but the benefits are top-notch.

Unfortunately, the company culture seems to be shifting towards an increased focus on cost-cutting and controls, with senior management dictating a pace of change which doesn't account for the organization's ability to adapt. Simultaneous cuts to staff levels and IT budgets mean forced efficiencies without the tools required to support them. Although the vision presented by management for the future is one which will likely help the company thrive, the roadmap they have presented to get there doesn't account for the realities of the current environment. – less

Cons: somewhat rigid work schedule
The work environment at Credit Suisse was rather friendly. There, I had the opportunity to work with different people and develop a good rapport with such individuals. Maintaining an opened line of communication with the clients was encouraged and greatly emphasized.
