They pay very well and have fair benefits, but all they do is LIE to you on a constant basis. They tell you what you want to hear, but actually do the complete opposite. They don't care about their employees one bit. You work your tail off, make one mistake and they fire you. Yet if you go there and do nect to nothing, they keep you around. My experience with the company was great. Depending on your job function, mobility is limited.

I go in and out of hospitals al day & work with many different departments. I have learned how to work with many different types of people and personalities in order to get a sale. During a evaluation or in-service I can be at a hospital as early as 6am and not leave as late as 11pm. This can be challenging at times. Compensation is good but culture and executive leadership are poor (Missouri). Questionable practices and lack of planning. Mix of old guard and new. Rewards based on individual success over team or organizational success.

Overtime all year round basicaly. Don't care about employee's. Benefit's were great though

Covidien is a good place to work. Because of the type of manufactoring that it does there is a lot of job security.

Though I was laid off from Covidien, I enjoyed my time there and learned a lot. I was able to make an impact with my work, and frankly I wish I was still there.

Fortune 500 medical supply company, with great benefits and competitive compensation. A culture not always conducive to work life balance and innovative contributions.

The location is great - just take a stroll down to strip mall with a grocery store and food chains nearby. The building is very nice and comfortable. Also has a lot of outings and events in the summer for fun. Has a lot of fun health-related competitions throughout the year with prizes.

As a young intern, I felt the culture of the company did not suite what I wanted to achieve and learn.

This facility manufactured medical devices, until our plant was closed due to oursourcing to China.

If Covidien can fill its empty pipe-line I would strongly recommend submitting your resume to any job posting you are qualified for.

Covidien is an average company with average thinkers. Covidien makes little investment in employees. Internal systems are broken down and archaic. Work processes in many cases are nonexistant. Those who should be accountable are not. Management by intimidation.

Covidien has been a source of stable employment. As a company it is always looking to make the processes better and more effecient.

It is very nice if you work in the sales and marketing part of the company, there is a nice work/life balance as well as some really great people and management, but as with every company, it really depends on who you work for! The company itself does offer a lot of flexiblity to employees. Covidien was good place to work. The company has gone through considerable changes over the last few years and management always handled it well.
