This is a Fortune 500 Company known globally. This company works with contracts, and computer run and maintain operations. This is a high impact job with little job growth. Known for laying off large amounts of staff as quarterly budget approaches. Currently has a new CEO guaranteeing another shift of employment, and further budget cuts to come.

I got good opportunities to build my career in a bright way. I worked on different technologies like ERP, RDBMS, CLIENT-SERVER and DWH.

OK Company, no appraisal system, lack of mentoring, training, skill improvement, no recognition. A typical body shopping company.

No performance based appraisal (though system is there).
High insurance costs. Lack of projects. Average salary growth of less than 2% per year even for the top performers (exceeded expectations) rating.

In this position, there really is no typical day. I am officially a "flight simulator technician", but this entails computers, networking, electronics, electrical, and mechanical work. One day I may have to configure RAID settings in a host computer, while the next day I am dealing with 480 VAC electrical systems or 24 VDC control relays.

As for my – more...  employer, I cannot say enough great things. My supervisor (as well as all of the folks I work with) are outstanding and I really, truly look forward to coming to work most days! The only issue is that I relocated to Hawaii where the cost of living is extremely high, and this is requiring me to relocate back to my home state of Michigan to make ends meet. – less

There is nothing wrong with CSC just some employees can be hard to work with. Unfortunately CSC has to meet the demands of it's customers. If you fall in bad standings with just one customers employees you suffer even if that employee is wrong. I would still work for CSC

Worked As 1st Level Support Specialist, took incoming calls from clients. Resolved calls that could be could be done over phone, reset all passwords on Mainframe applications SAP Applications also Active Directory , helped with Lotus Notes Email Setup, Password and general application problems. Active Directory Administration Password resets, User Account – more...  setup, With also Group and Computer Account setup, able to set Permissions on User, Computer and Group accounts. Also helped with Training of New Employees, and Subject Matter Expert for account. Worked With Remedy Ticket And Knowledge base to enter tickets for Field and Site Techs. – less

This company provided me with excellent opportunities and career progression. My practice were extremely supportive and enabled development of new skills in various business sectors across the UK. I enjoyed my time working for this company.

After putting seven plus years of my life into CSC, I realized that it is much more difficult to work for a corporation when the "higher-ups" refuse to get to know their employees.

I applied for 25 internal positions with no response from the hiring management. They provided little or no assistance in finding another position.

This has been the best experience of my life. Working with CSC has taught me so much in my professional life. Employees are friendly and helping. The executive staff helps you in ever aspect of your life and push you to go an extra step to be successful. I would not ask for anything more. I love this company and my team. Thank you CSC :)

There is no 'Typical' day at work. My work environment is in an active combat zone. What I've taken for myself from this job is a gratifying feeling of knowing I helped keep the war fighter out of harms way from IED's.

Unfortuenately, as the saying goes," To many Chiefs, not enough Indians" is the way CSC runs this program. There's alot of job placement – more...  based on ones ethnicity and organization membership.

My coworkers who i work directly with are some of the most well rounded, experienced people I've had the pleasure serving with.

Learned many systems. Lovely coworkers. Most enjoyable part of the job was ensuring that the students got the best quality of instruction available. The hardest part of the job was making sure all students were knowledgeable of the systems in a timely manner.

Working with CSC has been a good experience, and the level of training given has been great. Management is highly effective, and knows its business. My co-workers are team players and we all work hard to accomplish our mission for the government contractor and the customer.
